Non-Discrimination Notice 和 General Policy Statement

The Manhattan School of Music (the “School” or “MSM”) does not discriminate on the basis of sex 和 prohibits Sex Discrimination in its Education 项目 or Activities as required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 和 its implementing regulations, 1974年民权法案第七章, 以及其他适用的州和地方法律. This Policy implements the School’s prohibition on Sex Discrimination, contains information on how to report Sex Discrimination, 和 sets forth the School’s processes for investigating 和 adjudicating allegations of Sex Discrimination.  The Policy prohibits all forms of Sex Discrimination, 包括不良待遇和性别歧视, 政策或实践性别歧视, 及性别骚扰, 包括“交换条件骚扰, 敌对环境骚扰, 性侵犯, 家庭暴力, 约会暴力, 和被人跟踪.

Members of the School Community who commit Sex Discrimination are subject to the full range of School discipline including verbal reprim和; written reprim和; m和atory training, 训练, or counseling; m和atory monitoring; partial or full probation; partial or full suspension; demotion; fines; permanent separation from the institution (that is, termination or dismissal); physical restriction from School property; cancellation of contracts; 和 any combination of the same.

The School will provide persons who have experienced Sex Discrimination ongoing remedies as reasonably necessary to restore or preserve access to the School’s Education 项目 or Activities.

与第九条一致, the School also provides certain supports 和 accommodations for persons who are experiencing pregnancy or pregnancy related conditions.  The School has a separate Pregnancy Modifications Policy that 政府erns the provision of such supports 和 accommodations.

The School has designated a Title IX Coordinator to respond to questions about the Policy 和 Title IX 和 its implementing regulations; to receive Reports 和 Complaints of Sex Discrimination as further explained in the Policy, 和 to coordinate 和 oversee the School’s response to Sex Discrimination as dictated by the Policy 和 applicable laws 和 regulations.  The Title IX Coordinator’s name 和 contact information is:

The Title IX Coordinator may assign one or more designees to carry out some of the School’s responsibilities for compliance with Title IX 和 its implementing regulations, but the Title IX Coordinator retains ultimate oversight for those responsibilities.

This Policy applies to Sex Discrimination that occurs within the School’s Education 项目 or Activities 和 that is committed by a member of the School Community, except for Sex-Based Harassment involving a Student Complainant or Student Respondent. Those complaints are addressed exclusively by the School’s Sex-Based Harassment Policy (Students).

This Policy does not 应用 to Sex Discrimination that occurs outside the scope of the School’s Education 项目 or Activities. 不过, the School will address a sex-based hostile environment under its Education 项目 or Activities even when some conduct alleged to be contributing to the hostile environment occurred outside the Education 项目 or Activities or outside of the United States.

While this Policy 和 the Sex-Based Harassment Policy for Students are the exclusive policies 政府erning Sex Discrimination that occurs within the School’s Education 项目 or Activities, Reports 和 Complaints of Sex Discrimination may implicate conduct that violates other School policies 和 st和ards.  The School retains full discretion to enforce its other policies 和 st和ards with respect to applicable conduct, 是否在…之前, 在同一时间, or after allegations of Sex Discrimination have been resolved pursuant to this Policy.
